Desiring God exists to help people everywhere understand and embrace the truth that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him. And I would add, especially in suffering.
Being satisfied in God (or anything) always seems easier when all is going well. But when things you love are being stripped out of your hands, then the test is real. If God remains precious in those moments, then his supreme worth shines more brightly. He is most glorified.
The most meaningful testimonies I receive a
I have been listening to this sermon for the last 3 days, it has really shifted my heart and head concerning growing with Christ. Girls give it a lesson, I know how sometimes as girls we want change to come quickly.

Have you ever walked in a room and thought that every girl in there was better looking than you?
You start looking around and wishing you had that girl’s perfectly straight hair, her designer clothes, or her skinny figure. Your self-esteem suddenly drops by the second. After all this comparing, you start to resent the girl that you think is prettier than you. I don’t know if that happens to you, but it sure is something I struggle with. I constantly feel the need to compare myself to every girl I see. It’s human nature for girls not to be fully satisfied with the way they look. There’s that ONE thing we want to change about our appearance. The media is constantly telling us what we should look like and that the only way we can be considered “beautiful” is if we look like the celebrities. So how do we escape all this bitterness towards ourselves and our self-esteem? Accept how you were made. I know it’s easier said than done…but if it’s something you really want, then you need a drastic change in mindset. YOU are your biggest critic. Start by complimenting yourself when you look in the mirror. Focus on the good things about you. Find out WHAT’S threatening you. Be realistic, instead of being jealous of someone, look at them and smile knowing that you are blessed too.

Song of Songs 4:7
This is one of my fave scriptures. Next week ill be posting a rather long and in-depth post on finding our beauty and self image (identity) in Christ. Its been rather transforming going through my “girly”; issues with God, bt I have a new found appreciation for who I am and how God had made me.
I’ve had to repent a couple of times to God, for my lack of appreciation of my beauty. We are made in “his”image, we should appreciate and allow God to woe us into his presence because he is the ONLY ONE who can make us feel and be FULLY beautiful in his sight. :)
Just meditate on this beaut of a scripture. Let him tell u how beautiful you are
